Changing Password of a Wordpress Site

Here are the Steps on how you can Change your Wordpress site password in phpMyAdmin:

Step 1: Login to your site's cPanel. To do this put “/cpanel” at the end of your site's link address.

Step 2: Look for phpMyAdmin logo and click it.


Step 3: Click on your Wordpress database (if you installed this through QuickInstall, this will be named wrdp#) from the left hand side.

Step 4: Look for wp_users on the list of tables and then click it.

Step 5: Once inside, you will see under user_login the list of registered users. Under the user whose password you wish to reset, click edit.

Step 6: Under the user_pass column, clear the value on the far right and replace with what you would like the password to be. Then select MD5 in the Function drop-down menu.

Step 7: Lastly, Click Go at the bottom to save changes.
